A few years back, I had the privilege of attending a local community celebration—a festival honoring the diverse cultures that make our town unique. As I walked among the booths, the air was filled with laughter, music, and the mouthwatering aroma of food from every corner of the globe. But what struck me most was a small group of children dressed in vibrant traditional costumes, performing a dance that told the story of their heritage.

Among them was a young girl named Maria, shy yet radiant, her face lit up with sheer joy. As she took her place, I noticed her glance towards the audience, her eyes wide with uncertainty.
