The Power of Wisdom - Story
In a small village nestled between mountains, there lived an elderly woman named Maria. Known for her wisdom, she became a beacon of light for many who sought her guidance. One evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon and darkness enveloped the village, a young man named Rafael approached Maria, troubled and lost. He had recently lost his job and felt the weight of uncertainty pressing down on him.
“Maria,” he said, his voice quavering, “I don’t know which way to turn. I feel like I’m wandering in darkness, without purpose.”
Maria smiled gently and invited him to sit beside her on a weathered bench under a sprawling olive tree. “Do you remember the story of Joshua?” she asked. Rafael nodded, recalling the verse, ‘Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go’ (Joshua 1:9).
She continued, “Just as God promised Joshua, He promises us guidance in our darkest moments. Wisdom is like a lantern; it may not illuminate the entire path ahead, but it lights the next step.”
