The Proxy That Takes the Hit

Every major website you visit — from banking portals to hospital systems — is protected by something most people never see: a reverse proxy. Companies like Cloudflare position their servers between the internet and the actual website, absorbing billions of cyberattacks every single day. Distributed denial-of-service floods, malicious code injections, brute-force intrusions — the proxy absorbs it all. The origin server behind it never even feels the attack. It keeps running, safe and unharmed, because something else stood in the gap.

That is a picture of what happened at Calvary.

Scripture tells us that Christ "bore our sins in His body on the tree" (1 Peter 2:24). He positioned Himself between us and the full weight of judgment — every accusation, every consequence, every blow that was aimed at us. He absorbed it all. Not because He was vulnerable, but because He chose to be. The Almighty did not deflect the strike. He received it, so that we could keep running — forgiven, restored, alive.

Here is what makes this different from any technology: Cloudflare is a service you pay for. Jesus is a Savior who paid for you. No subscription required. No premium tier. The cost was His life, and He spent it willingly.
