The Purpose Written Into You

Apple's AirTag is one of the simplest pieces of technology ever made. No screen, no buttons, no apps. It does exactly one thing: it helps you find what you've lost. And it does that one thing so well that millions of people trust it with their most important belongings.

Here is what makes it remarkable. An AirTag works not because of its own power — its battery barely lasts a year — but because it is connected to a vast network of nearly two billion Apple devices around the world. When your lost bag is sitting in an airport terminal, some stranger's iPhone silently detects your AirTag and relays its location back to you. That stranger has no idea they helped. But because each device plays its small, specific role in the network, the whole system works beautifully.

Paul told the Ephesians that we are "God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do" (Ephesians 2:10). You were not designed to do everything. You were designed for something — something specific, something prepared before you ever drew breath.

And like that AirTag, your purpose is never fulfilled in isolation. You are part of a vast, living network — the Body of Christ — where every member's quiet faithfulness makes the whole system work. You may never see the full picture of how the Almighty uses your one offering. But the God who wrote your purpose into you knew exactly what He was doing.
