The Signal We Share

If you have ever struggled with a dead zone in your house — that back bedroom where the Wi-Fi simply refuses to reach — you know the frustration of being cut off. A single router, no matter how powerful, has limits. Walls absorb its signal. Distance weakens it. There are always corners it cannot reach alone.

That is why engineers developed mesh networking. Systems like Google Nest WiFi or Amazon Eero work by placing multiple small nodes throughout a home. No single node carries the whole burden. Instead, each one receives the signal and passes it forward, extending the network into rooms that a lone router could never touch. If one node goes offline, the others adjust, rerouting traffic so the network stays alive. The strength is not in any one device — it is in the connections between them.

Paul understood this principle two thousand years before wireless technology existed. "The eye cannot say to the hand, 'I don't need you!'" he wrote in 1 Corinthians 12:21. The Body of Christ was never designed to run on a single powerful signal. It was designed as a mesh — each member receiving grace and passing it forward, each one extending God's reach into rooms that others cannot enter alone.

Some of you are trying to live the Christian life as a single router. You were built to be part of a network. The signal gets stronger when it is shared.
