The Son of Man's Glory: Final Judgment and Eternal Separation
When the Son of Man shall come in His glory, He will sit upon the throne of judgment over all nations. The kingly character of the Lord Jesus will then be fully revealed—no longer bearing the attributes of suffering humanity, but displayed in unsearchable wisdom and power. Heaven's innumerable inhabitants will accompany Him as He executes final separation between the righteous and the wicked.
The Judge Himself witnessed every moral action of men and requires no external evidence. He will speak from His throne as King in Zion, assigning reasons for why the Father has received the righteous unto Himself. The righteous shall stand at His right hand, blessed of Elohim, astonished at His mercies toward them.
The final separation accomplishes what proves impossible here: the tares cannot be distinguished from wheat while both grow together. Yet there, all will recognize the division as righteous—not based on wealth or earthly status, but on character alone. All must belong to one of two classes: sheep or goats.
The vast assemblage includes all holy angels, all nations, all classes, all ages. Each must answer to his name; each must obey the summons. For believers, this should kindle daily demonstration of love to Christ through works of mercy, that we may stand without apology before His glory.
