When Joy - Contemporary Example

Last summer, my neighbor, Miss Clara, decided to host a garden party for the community. Now, Miss Clara is in her late seventies, and while most of us might think of a quiet afternoon with a book at that age, she was determined to bring people together. One bright Saturday morning, she put up colorful decorations, baked her famous lemon bars, and arranged flowers she had grown herself.

As we gathered in her backyard, laughter and chatter filled the air. I watched as Miss Clara moved from one person to another, her joy radiating like the sunlight that warmed our faces.
