When Righteousness - Story
There once lived a woman named Sarah in a small town, a woman who knew struggle all too well. She was a single mother, working two jobs just to make ends meet. But Sarah had a fierce spirit, one that reminded me of Deborah from Scripture. Like Deborah, she had a calling to lead, though she often felt overwhelmed by her circumstances.
One Sunday, Sarah attended a community gathering. As she listened to a guest speaker share about righteousness and grace, something stirred within her. The speaker recounted how the fruit of the Spirit, as described in Galatians 5:22-23, could transform lives. She spoke of love, joy, peace, and, oh, that righteousness which can seem so unattainable.
Inspired, Sarah made a decision. Instead of allowing her struggles to define her, she began to reach out to others in need, sharing what little she had. She started a small support group for single parents, offering guidance and hope. It wasn’t easy, but each time she saw a fellow mother uplifted by her words, a warm glow of grace filled her heart.
Just as Deborah led her people with strength and wisdom, Sarah found her purpose in nurturing those around her. The transformation was profound. She went from feeling lost and alone to being a beacon of light in her community. Sarah discovered that righteousness isn’t about perfection; it’s about embodying grace and leading others towards hope. When righteousness takes root in our hearts, we can change the world, one life at a time.
