When Wisdom - Story
There was a small village nestled in the foothills of a great mountain. It was known for its breathtaking views, but also for the thick fog that rolled in each morning, obscuring everything in sight. The villagers lived in a rhythm of uncertainty, often feeling lost in their daily routines, yearning for clarity and direction.
One day, a wise old woman named Miriam decided that enough was enough. She gathered the villagers and shared a story from her youth: “When I was a girl, I once wandered into the fog, feeling utterly alone. I stumbled upon a lantern left by a previous traveler. Though the light was small, it illuminated just enough of the path before me. I learned that sometimes, it takes just a little light to see where to go next.”
Inspired, the villagers began to bring their own lanterns to the central square each evening. As darkness fell, they lit their lanterns, and slowly, the fog began to lift—not because the weather changed, but because they shared their light with one another. In that warm glow, hope emerged, guiding their steps and transforming their community.
Just as Jesus taught us in John 3:16, God’s love is a guiding light that illuminates our path, showing us purpose even in our foggiest moments. When we persevere together, sharing wisdom and light, we can find strength in our unity. Let us remember that even the smallest act of love can cut through the thickest fog, leading us toward transformation and deeper spiritual growth.
