Contemplating Miracle
Dear Heavenly Father,
As I stand before you today, I find myself reflecting on the miracles that weave through the fabric of my life. In 1 Peter 2:9, we are called a “chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation.” What does it mean, Lord, to embody that identity in the presence of others? It means that in our ordinary encounters, we carry the weight of Your grace and the light of Your love.
Picture this: someone at the grocery store, worn down by the struggles of life—perhaps a single parent juggling a cart full of groceries while managing the demands of a restless child. In that moment, we have a choice. We can either rush past, caught up in our own concerns, or we can pause and offer a kind word, a smile, or even help load their bags into the car. This is where we engage with what I’m calling “Miracle”—the extraordinary potential of ordinary moments.
Help me, Lord, to see through Your eyes. May I recognize that my actions, however small, can reflect Your character. Today, may I bring hope and healing into dark places, just as you have brought light into my own life. Let my hands serve others, my words uplift them, and my heart extend Your grace. Let me be a vessel of transformation in my community, a guiding light that draws others closer to You.
