Devotional: Providence
Dear Heavenly Father,
As I sit in quiet reflection, I think of your divine Providence woven throughout my life, a tapestry of grace that has shaped my journey. In 1 John 4:19, we are reminded, “We love because he first loved us.” Your love is the wellspring from which my heart can flow into the lives of others. Lord, help me to see every situation through your eyes—especially those moments that feel overwhelming or chaotic.
Imagine standing in a darkened room, an unexpected storm raging outside, and your heart is racing. Yet, in that space, you find the flicker of a candle’s flame. That tiny light holds the power to dispel the shadows. This is what you call me to be: a beacon of hope in the midst of turmoil. Whether it’s a kind word to a struggling neighbor, a listening ear to a friend in need, or simply a smile to a stranger, each action is an opportunity to reflect your character.
Help me to remember that my engagement with Providence is not just about me, but about weaving love into the fabric of my community. As I step into my day, may I be mindful of the moments where you invite me to serve, to heal, and to bring comfort. Let my heart be open to the stirring of your Spirit, guiding me to embody your hope and grace.
