Evening Prayer: Diversity & Inclusion
Dear Heavenly Father,
In this moment of reflection, I find myself drawn to the profound wisdom of Ephesians 4:29, where we are reminded to let no corrupting talk come out of our mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up. Picture, if you will, a bustling marketplace filled with a vibrant tapestry of humanity—each person a unique thread woven together by your divine hand. In this sacred space, we are called to recognize not just the differences that separate us, but the shared humanity that binds us together.
As I contemplate Diversity & Inclusion, Lord, I ask for your eyes to see the beauty in each person I encounter. Help me to embrace those who may walk a different path—those who bring different stories, cultures, and experiences into my life. Let my words be a soothing balm in a world that often feels harsh. May they uplift rather than tear down, inviting others to see themselves through the lens of your love.
Teach me to be a beacon of hope in the darkest corners of misunderstanding and prejudice. When I encounter someone who is marginalized, overlooked, or struggling, may I respond with open arms and a compassionate heart, reflecting your character in each interaction. Let my actions speak louder than my words, drawing others closer to you through the light of genuine acceptance.
