Intercessory Prayer: Anabaptist Lens Model for Community

Heavenly Father, as we gather in Your presence today, we are reminded of Your great commission: to go and make disciples of all nations, to baptize in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and to teach all that You have commanded us. We are filled with hope as we lean into this calling, knowing that You are with us always, even to the end of the age.

Lord, we stand before You, interceding for our community. We lift up those who are struggling in the shadows of despair—those battling illness, loneliness, or uncertainty. We ask for Your healing touch, that it may bring comfort and restoration. May our hands be Your hands, reaching out to support and uplift those who feel broken.

We pray for guidance in these challenging times. As a church, help us to navigate the complexities of life with wisdom and compassion. May we listen to one another deeply, fostering a spirit of koinonia, that sacred fellowship that binds us together in love and understanding. May our actions reflect Your light to those around us, drawing them closer to You.

And as we seek spiritual growth, remind us that true discipleship is found in serving others. Let our hearts be tender and open to the needs of our neighbors, both near and far. Empower us to be agents of Your peace and justice, embodying the spirit of shalom in a world so often fractured.
