Saving Private Ryan: Here Am I, Send Me (Isaiah 6:8)

In Saving Private Ryan, Captain Miller leads his squad through hell to find one paratrooper. Every soldier asks why risk eight lives for one. But deeper, Miller goes because he was sent. Isaiah heard the voice of the Lord asking, Whom shall I send? And who will go for us? And Isaiah said, Here am I. Send me. Isaiah volunteered for a mission he did not fully understand. Miller obeys orders that seem senseless. Both discover meaning in the sending, not the understanding.
