Lessons from Righteousness - Story

There was a small-town pastor named David, a man of deep faith who embodied righteousness in his everyday life. One day, he received a call from a young woman named Sarah, who was struggling to make sense of her path. She felt lost, weighed down by the burdens of self-doubt and the relentless pressure to achieve on her own.

As David listened, he recalled a lesson from his own journey—a time when he had tried to earn God’s love through sheer self-effort. He shared with Sarah about a time when he had been so consumed with doing the right things that he lost sight of the very heart of his faith.

“Righteousness,” he told her, “is not about striving alone. It's about surrendering to the love that God has for us. Remember the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20? Jesus didn’t send us out to perform flawlessly; He called us to follow Him and share His love with the world.”

With a glimmer of hope, Sarah began to see that faith was not a checklist of achievements, but a relationship filled with grace. David encouraged her to embrace her imperfections, to lean into the love of God rather than relying solely on her efforts.
