Love Without Latency
In 2013, Google engineer Jeff Dean and his team achieved something remarkable — they reduced Google Search latency to under 200 milliseconds. That means from the moment you press "Enter" to the moment your answer appears, less time passes than it takes to blink. The entire system was redesigned around one principle: eliminate every unnecessary delay between the question and the answer.
Dean once explained that their goal was to make the distance between a person's need and the response feel like it had disappeared entirely. No waiting. No buffering. No lag.
That is a stunning picture of how God loves us.
Scripture tells us that before we even call, He answers. Before the words form on our lips, He is already moving toward us. Isaiah 65:24 puts it plainly: "Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear." There is no latency in the love of God. No buffering screen while He decides whether we are worth responding to. No lag time while He weighs whether our request deserves attention.
We live in a world full of delays — delayed responses to texts, delayed answers to emails, relationships where we wonder if the other person even heard us. But the God who knit the universe together operates with zero latency toward His children.
Whatever you are carrying into this room today, know this: His love is already moving toward you. It was moving before you walked through those doors.
