Morning Meditation: Perseverance - Story
As the sun rises each morning, it paints a vibrant canvas across the sky, a reminder of God’s mercies that are new every day. Hebrews 11:1 tells us, “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” This verse whispers to our souls, encouraging us to hold fast to our faith, even when the path seems obscured by trials and uncertainty.
Imagine a gardener tending to a small seed. At first glance, it appears lifeless, buried beneath the soil. But every day, the gardener waters it, pulls out the weeds, and patiently waits. Days turn into weeks, and still, the soil seems barren. Yet, deep roots are forming, stretching out in the darkness, preparing for the day they will break through the surface and bask in the sunlight.
This story of the seed mirrors our journey of perseverance in faith. There are times when we feel buried under the weight of our circumstances, longing for growth but seeing none. Yet, God is nurturing us in the unseen, developing our character and deepening our trust.
In our service to others, let us reflect this perseverance. When we serve out of love — even when it’s hard — we become living testimonies of hope and purpose. Each act, no matter how small, contributes to a greater masterpiece God is crafting.
