Quiet Time: Environmental Justice
Dear Heavenly Father,
As I pause to reflect on Environmental Justice today, I am stirred by the words of Ephesians 4:29, which urges us to let no corrupt communication come from our mouths but only that which builds others up. Lord, I ask for your wisdom to see our world through your eyes—a world where your creation cries out for healing and restoration.
Imagine walking through a neighborhood where the air is thick with pollution, where families struggle to breathe, and children play in the shadows of factories. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the enormity of the challenges ahead. Yet, what if we became the hands and feet of Christ in these places? What if our voices, guided by love and grace, became vessels of hope?
Help me, Lord, to take actionable steps. Perhaps it’s organizing a community clean-up, or advocating for policies that safeguard God’s creation. Maybe it's as simple as speaking to my neighbor about the importance of recycling, or sharing a meal with someone affected by environmental neglect. Give me the courage to engage in the conversation with compassion, reflecting your character in every word and deed.
