Quiet Time: Heaven - Story
As I stand at the crossroads of my life, I find myself contemplating the profound wisdom of Jesus in John 14:6, where He declares, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” In my heart, I yearn for that heavenly perspective to illuminate my journey. Imagine a darkened room, with the flicker of a candle’s flame piercing the shadows. That flicker represents the light of Christ within us, urging us to shine brightly in the corners of our lives where despair and confusion may loom.
In this moment, I ask God to open my eyes to the areas where His grace is needed. Perhaps it’s in the weary smile of a colleague who feels overwhelmed, or the longing gaze of a neighbor who feels isolated. What if my response to their struggles could be a reflection of the love God has poured into my life? It might be as simple as offering a warm meal, an encouraging word, or a listening ear. Each act of kindness can be a taste of Heaven—a reminder that we are not alone, that there is hope in the darkest of times.
As we engage with our communities, let us remember that our devotional life is not an isolated endeavor. It is a catalyst for transformation. This week, I challenge you to seek out a way to be that light, to carry the essence of Heaven into your everyday encounters. As we do this, may our actions draw others closer to the heart of God, illuminating their paths with His love and grace. In Jesus' name, Amen.
