Quiet Time: Prayer - Story

As we gather today, I invite you to let the words of John 14:6 resonate deeply in your hearts: “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” In this verse, Jesus not only offers us profound wisdom, but He also invites us into an intimate relationship through prayer.

Imagine a dimly lit room, shadows dancing against the walls. In that space, a flickering candle represents our prayers, each flicker a cry for guidance, an expression of gratitude, or a plea for comfort. When we engage in prayer, we are lighting a beacon in our own lives and in the lives of those around us. Think of the times when you felt utterly lost, perhaps wandering through life’s storms—didn’t a simple prayer sometimes shift the very atmosphere around you?

As we approach prayer, may we do so with the intention of becoming vessels of agape, that selfless love that Christ embodies.
