The Sustainability & Creation Care Challenge

In our fast-paced modern world, the call to Sustainability and Creation Care can sometimes feel like steering a ship through a stormy sea. They were faced with scarcity, uncertainty, and the daunting task of cultivating a new life in a harsh environment. But God, in His infinite wisdom, provided them with manna from heaven, a tangible reminder of His provision and care.

Much like them, we find ourselves at a crossroads today. As we grapple with climate change and environmental degradation, we can draw inspiration from the words in 1 John 4:19: “We love because He first loved us.” This love compels us to take action; it's not merely a call to conservation but a radical expression of our faith.

With limited resources but boundless enthusiasm, they transformed a vacant lot into a vibrant space of life and growth. That garden became a sanctuary, a place where love bloomed alongside tomatoes and carrots, reminding them that they were stewards of God’s creation.

God’s word is a lighthouse in these turbulent waters, guiding us with hope and purpose.
