Written in Your Every Cell

In 2003, scientists completed the Human Genome Project, mapping the entire sequence of human DNA. What they discovered is staggering — every single cell in your body carries the same complete genetic code. Whether it is a cell in your kneecap or your earlobe, each one holds the full blueprint of who you are. A skin cell does not carry a partial identity. A blood cell is not missing chapters of your story. Every cell, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant, carries the whole of you.

Dr. Francis Collins, who led that project, later wrote about how this discovery deepened his faith. He called the human genome "the language of God" — a code written into the very fabric of our being.

Scripture says something remarkably similar. The prophet Jeremiah records the voice of the Almighty: "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you." Not partially. Not provisionally. Fully. Your identity in God is not something you earn one piece at a time, accumulating worth like frequent flyer miles. It is written into you completely, from the very beginning.

So on the days when you feel like a forgotten cell in the body of Christ — small, overlooked, unsure of your purpose — remember this: you carry the full identity of a child of God. Not a rough draft. Not a partial copy. The whole thing, written in a language only your Creator fully understands, and He reads you with delight.
