Devotional: Prophecy
Dear Heavenly Father,
As I pause to reflect on the profound call of prophecy in my life today, I can’t help but remember the powerful words in Acts 1:8: “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses…” Imagine, for a moment, standing before a vibrant city, the sun setting on the horizon, casting a warm glow over faces filled with hope and uncertainty. This is where you invite me to step in, to be a beacon of your light in the shadows.
Lord, grant me the wisdom to see through your eyes. When I encounter the struggles of others — a friend grappling with grief, a neighbor battling loneliness, or a stranger weighed down by despair — let my heart overflow with the love and grace you have bestowed upon me. Help me respond not with mere words, but with actions that reflect your character.
May my footsteps echo the hesed (steadfast love) you have shown me, drawing others not just closer to me, but closer to you. Let my life be a living testament of hope, a conduit for healing, as I embrace the prophetic call to serve my community.
