Morning Meditation: Pride
Dear Heavenly Father,
As I pause this morning, I can't help but reflect on the subtle, creeping nature of Pride in my life, that ever-present shadow that whispers sweet lies of self-sufficiency. I am reminded of your empowering words in Acts 1:8: “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Lord, help me to see Pride through Your divine lens. Like a lighthouse piercing through a foggy night, let me shine Your light into the dark corners of my heart. When faced with the temptation to elevate myself, remind me that true greatness lies in humility and servanthood. Just as Jesus washed the feet of His disciples, may my actions reflect His character, drawing others not to me, but to You.
Today, I ask for Your guidance as I navigate the complexities of my relationships and responsibilities. Grant me the courage to confront my own Pride—to be honest when I falter and to seek forgiveness when I fall short.
