Spiritual Insight: Vocation

Dear Heavenly Father,

As I pause to reflect on the call to Vocation in my life, I hear the gentle whisper of your wisdom echoing from Acts 1:8: “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” This passage holds a profound truth for each of us—our vocation is not merely a job but a sacred calling that radiates your love into the world.

Imagine a moment in your own life when you were a beacon of light in the shadows. Perhaps it was a simple act—offering a warm meal to a neighbor in need, listening intently as a friend poured out their heart, or serving at a local shelter. In those moments, we embody your hesed—your steadfast love and mercy. Each act of kindness, no matter how small, is an invitation for others to encounter your grace through us.

Lord, help me to see my vocation through your eyes, to recognize that it is a divine platform for hope and healing. Infuse my work with purpose, making it a reflection of your character.
