Permission Granted
When you download an app like Google Maps onto your phone, one of the first things it does is ask for permissions. "Allow access to your location?" "Allow access to your microphone?" You can tap "Deny" — the app will not argue with you. But Google Maps without location access is just a pretty picture of the world. It cannot guide you through an unfamiliar city, reroute you around traffic, or help you find your way home. The app is fully capable, but you have rendered it powerless by withholding permission.
This is what happens when we withhold obedience from God. He does not force His way into the rooms of our lives. He asks — and waits. "Will you let Me into your finances?" "Will you grant Me access to that relationship?" "Will you allow Me to redirect your plans?" We can say no. He will not override our freedom. But a life closed off to God's direction is like a navigation app denied the one thing it needs to function. You still have it installed. You just cannot experience what it was built to do.
The beautiful thing is that permissions can be updated at any time. You can open your settings right now and change "Deny" to "Allow." The moment you do, the app comes alive.
God is ready the instant you say yes. The question was never about His capability. It was always about your permission.
