Remind Me Later

Every iPhone user knows the notification: "iOS Update Available." Apple's engineers have spent months building something better — patching vulnerabilities, improving performance, adding capabilities your device does not yet have. All you need to do is tap "Install Now."

But most of us tap "Remind Me Later."

We do it for weeks, sometimes months. The notification returns faithfully, and we dismiss it again. Meanwhile, our phones remain exposed to security threats the update would have fixed. Features designed to make our lives easier sit unclaimed on a server, waiting for our permission.

We treat God's instructions the same way. The Holy Spirit nudges — forgive that person, have that difficult conversation, give more generously, step into that calling that frightens you. And we tap "Remind Me Later." We do not say no to God. We say not yet. But delayed obedience, Scripture reminds us, is still disobedience.

When Apple discovers a critical security flaw, they release an emergency patch — sometimes within hours. Users who have been hitting "Remind Me Later" for months are the most vulnerable. The fix exists. It is free. It is ready. They simply have not installed it.

God's Word is already downloaded. His instructions are already before you. The blessing, the protection, the growth He has prepared — they are all waiting on the other side of one simple tap: obey now.
